Full Artist Agreement
By submitting artwork to the GDQ Digital Art Bundle (“Submission”), you (“Artist”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms with Games Done Quick, LLC (“GDQ”) and The Yetee, LLC (“The Yetee”).
1. Purpose
GDQ and The Yetee curate digital download art bundles in connection with GDQ charity fundraising events (“Event”). Submitted artwork may be reviewed for potential inclusion in a bundle in accordance with the GDQ Digital Art Bundle Review Guidelines.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
2. Review & Acceptance
-
All submissions are reviewed by members of the GDQ and The Yetee teams.
-
Artwork is evaluated individually and accepted or declined at the sole discretion of GDQ and The Yetee.
-
Due to volume and capacity, feedback is not guaranteed.
-
Declined submissions do not affect future eligibility.
3. Originality & AI Policy
By submitting artwork, Artist represents and warrants that:
-
The artwork is original and entirely created by the Artist.
-
No AI-generated or AI-assisted tools were used in the creation of the artwork.
-
The artwork does not infringe upon any third-party rights.
-
Fan artwork is transformative and does not include copied, traced, or extracted elements unless the Artist owns the underlying intellectual property.
If there is reasonable uncertainty regarding originality or AI usage, the submission may be declined or removed.
4. Content Standards
Artist agrees that all submitted artwork:
-
Is suitable for a broad, global audience
-
Contains no hate speech, harassment, explicit, or discriminatory content
-
Aligns with GDQ’s community values and charitable mission
5. Grant of Rights
If the artwork is accepted (“Accepted Artwork”), Artist grants GDQ and The Yetee a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
-
Reproduce, distribute, and display the Accepted Artwork as part of the digital download bundle
-
Email the artwork to purchasers of the bundle
-
Use the artwork in future GDQ digital bundles, legacy or archival collections, and promotional, informational, or archival materials related to GDQ and its events
Ownership of the artwork remains with the Artist. Artist may continue to use, display, and sell the artwork elsewhere.
6. Modifications & Presentation
GDQ and The Yetee may resize, reformat, compress, or otherwise adapt the artwork as needed for digital distribution and presentation. No material or substantive alterations will be made.
7. Distribution Limitations
The digital art bundle will be distributed via email delivery. GDQ and The Yetee do not guarantee permanent or ongoing download access via an active storefront or hosting page.
8. Compensation
Artist acknowledges that participation is voluntary and unpaid. No monetary compensation, royalties, or revenue share will be provided.
9. Credit
Artist will be credited in a separate credit document associated with the bundle. Placement, format, and presentation of credit are determined by GDQ and The Yetee.
10. Removal Requests
Artist may request removal of their Accepted Artwork from future uses (such as future bundles or promotional materials). Removal requests will not affect past distributions, including bundles already delivered to purchasers.
11. Removal & Disqualification
GDQ and The Yetee reserve the right to remove Accepted Artwork if it is later found to violate these terms or the Review Guidelines.
12. Acknowledgment
By submitting artwork through this form, Artist confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
GDQ Digital Art Bundle Review Guidelines
(Digital Download Bundle with GDQ & the Yetee)
Overview
GDQ welcomes community-submitted artwork for select charity events where pieces may be offered as part of a purchased digital download bundle. These guidelines explain how the artwork will be reviewed, both internally and publicly, so artists and community members understand acceptance criteria and how decisions are made.
Our goal is to be fair, consistent, and respectful while curating a collection of art and media that reflects the GDQ community, the Yetee, and the charitable mission of the event.
How Artwork is Reviewed
-
All submitted artwork is reviewed by:
-
Three members of the GDQ team
-
Three members of the Yetee team
-
Artwork is evaluated on its own merits, not the artist’s identity, following, or past involvement with GDQ
-
Each piece is reviewed and decided on an accept or decline basis
Not all submissions may be accepted, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
Review Criteria
Artwork is reviewed using the criteria below. A submission must meet all baseline requirements to be accepted.
Artist Quality
-
Clear and intentional composition
-
Original artwork
-
Finished and polished to a standard appropriate for a paid digital download
Content Appropriateness
-
Suitable for a broad, global audience
-
Free of hate speech, harassment, explicit, or discriminatory imagery
-
Aligned with GDQ’s community values
Relevance & Theme Alignment
-
Clear connection to GDQ, gaming, speedrunning, or the specific event theme
-
Feels appropriate within a charitable fundraising context
Audience Appeal
-
Likely to resonate with the GDQ community
-
Offers clear value as a digital item someone would choose to purchase
Collection Fit
-
Contributes positively to the overall art lineup
-
Helps maintain variety in subject matter, tone, and style across accepted works
Original Work & AI Art Policy
-
Submitted artwork must be original and created entirely by a human artist
-
AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is not permitted
-
Standard digital art tools (such as brushes, layers, and color correction) are allowed
-
If there is reasonable uncertainty about whether a piece uses AI generation, the submission may be declined
-
Fan artworks can interpret existing properties in transformative ways but cannot be derivative of existing works or use copy/paste elements unless the creator is the original IP holder.
-
Use of GDQ or Yetee mascots is permitted so long as it follows all the above guidelines.
Decisions & Feedback
-
Each submission is reviewed and marked Accepted or Declined
-
GDQ and/or The Yetee may keep brief internal notes to ensure consistency
-
Due to volume and capacity, individual feedback or detailed reasoning for decisions is not guaranteed
-
If your artwork was declined, it does not affect your ability to submit again or for future events
Transparency & Respect
GDQ and The Yetee deeply appreciate the time, creativity, and care that artists put into their work. Declining a submission is not a judgement of an artist’s talent or intent - only whether a piece is the right fit for a specific event and fundraiser.
These guidelines may be updated over time to reflect community needs and event requirements.
